Prerequisites:

One year of documented Highway/Bridge Construction inspection experience. An updated ECMS resume, sent along with your registration for the CDS NextGen training classes. Registration will be denied if individual does not meet these new requirements.

2-day operator training sessions on the Construction Documentation System NeXtGen
This course provides hands-on training to use the CDS NeXtGen construction documentation system for use at PENNDOT construction sites throughout the state. This system is essential to the effective operation of PENNDOT's construction activities. It supports all project site activities, including the generation of estimates to pay contractors for work performed and an interface with the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS).

Learning Outcomes:
|
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
· Set up construction projects for documentation entry.
· Enter daily Project Site Activities to record inspected items.
· Generate and submit Work Orders.
· Generate and submit estimates for contractor payments.
· Create backups, archive data and restore databases.
· Create reports.
