The project being situated as follows: SR 2007 -- From the intersection with SR 0209 at Station 0+00.00 to a point approximately 525 ft (0.10 mile) from this intersection at Station 5+30.00. Removal of an existing structure, construction of a new structure, construction of roadway work consisting of full depth pavement, guiderail, drainage, pavement markings, implementing traffic control including detouring of traffic, and construction of a traffic signal all included within an overall project length of 398.91 linear feet (0.076 mile) as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package.

Details: This project is for improvement of intersection SR 2027, Section 001 (Pennsylvania Avenue) and SR 2028, Section 001 (Camp Hill Road) located in Springfield and Upper Dublin Townships, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. This intersection improvement project involves realignment of the SR 2028 approaches to eliminate the dog-leg alignment of its intersection with SR 2027, and relocates the existing traffic signals. A retaining wall is proposed on the southeast corner of the intersection to avoid impacting a springhouse. Also, the SR 2027 approaches will be widened, providing turning lanes from both approaches.

Details: This project consists of the full replacement of the existing single span concrete T-Beam structure and associated approach roadway. The structurally deficient bridge will be replaced with a P/S Concrete Box Beam structure. One aerial utility relocation is anticipated to be needed to accommodate the construction. Details: This project consists of bridge preservation of the existing structure over the Susquehanna River, including the replacement of expansion joints, fabricated structural steel repairs, concrete bridge deck repair, latex modified concrete weraing surface, zone painting, and other miscellaneous construction, all as indicated on the approved drawings included in the Bid Package for STATE ROUTE 0030, SECTION 092, in LANCASTER COUNTY, COLUMBIA BOROUGH & WEST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, from Segment 0010/0011 Offset 0000/0000 to Segment 0020/0021 Offset 1334/1334, and in YORK COUNTY, HELLAM TOWNSHIP, from Segment 0550/0551 Offset 0844/1054 to Segment 0550/0551 Offset 2982/3192, for an overall project length of 8998.15 linear feet (1.71 miles).

Details: This project includes the reconstruction of the existing interchange from a partial clover leaf with limited acceleration and deceleration lane lengths to a full diamond interchange utilizing acceleration and declaration lanes meeting current AASHTO design criteria. The project will include the replacement of a 3-span steel girder bridge carrying S.R. 0070 over S.R. 0519 and an extension of an existing concrete arch culvert that carries S.R. 0070 over Little Chartiers Creek. Additionally, the proposed project will widen the existing S.R. 0070 median and add two signalized intersections at the junction of the ramps and S.R. 0519 for the proposed diamond interchange. S.R. 0519 will be widened to provide for the proposed left hand turning lanes on to the Eastbound and Westbound acceleration ramps. The profile on S.R. 0070 and S.R. 0519 will be adjusted to meet a minimum 16''-6" clearance. The project will reconstruct approximately one mile (5,500-ft) of S.R. 0070 (including replacing the S.R. 0070 Structure), approximately 1,700 of S.R. 519, and include the realignment of three township roadways adjacent to S.R. 0070.
